WATE: KNOXVILLE, TENN. Many lovers of rap music are familiar with Kevin Gates as a performer. But away from the stage, Gates struggles with mental health challenges, just like a lot of others do around the nation. For Gates, regaining his footing is achieved in part through music.
Kevin Gates once observed, “One of the most beautiful things is that music is the therapeutic release.” Fitness keeps me sharp and increases my frequency. I use fitness to fend off suicidal thoughts, depression, bullying, and similar things.
DJ BWA Gates and Ron have collaborated since their high school years. The difference between then and now, he added, is just astounding.
It’s stunning. I’ve been seeing him grow virtually from the beginning,” BWA Ron remarked. “There have been a lot of years of sacrifice. Though it wasn’t always this way, I think it’s only getting started.
The adoration for Gates has risen through time. He attempts to follow one primary ideology throughout his life.
“I’ll give it my all, even if there are just ten of us. “How you do anything is how you do everything” is the tenet that guides my life,” Gates stated. “Watch what we think about. Our words come from our thoughts, our actions come from our words, and our words become our habits.
Gates wants people to understand that life should be enjoyed slowly and that rapid things don’t always last.
Gates visited Knoxville on Friday to provide a performance as a part of his “The Ceremony Tour.” Although he was anxious before the event, he said to 6 News that one of his favorite places to perform is Knoxville.
According to the album description on Apple Music, Gates published the 17-track album “The Ceremony” earlier this year. It was his first studio album since 2022’s “Khaza.”
