Brooke Burke is growing up.
In an interview about wellness and fitness on Fox News Digital, the media personality said, “Mother Nature is just dishing out challenge after challenge for us at this stage of my life as a woman.”
Burke, who turned 53 in September, has added compound exercises and heavier weights to her fitness programme. Women tend to shy away from the latter.
Since most women are terrified of large weights, I want to talk about this topic right away. Additionally, there’s a misconception that we’ll become clumsy. False. To truly modify the physique, we would need to eat a lot of protein, exercise a lot, and follow that programme religiously, she said.
“As an individual in my 50s, I’ve discovered that nobody gave us menopause education or advised us to start weight training. Bone density is the reason weight training is necessary. It’s osteoporosis, or bone health. It causes hormonal changes. It increases your metabolic rate. It forges strength. You can become more coordinated as a result, enabling us to accomplish more.
For the first time, I’m genuinely increasing substantial weights. And 10 pounds of arms is heavy for me, right? To develop curves in the glute muscles, I’ve always included heavy weights to my booty burn programmes,” said Burke, who runs a LIVE! Zoom fitness session on her website, BrookeBurke.com, every Friday. However, it’s strengthening me. My physique is evolving, yet I’m still able to have lean muscle. Also, because my body requires it, I’m increasing the amount of protein in my diet.
Burke, who turned 53 in September, has integrated heavy weights and complicated workouts into her fitness routine.
The previous presenter of “Dancing with the Stars” advises against depriving your body of what it needs, which is food.
“I believe that our nation is going through a fast fix phase right now. In addition, we’re not enjoying our lives because of that fad diet, startling the system, and excessive discipline. I’m eating more now. I feel more content, stronger, and slimmer now. I also have greater energy. I’m consuming more protein and foods high in nutrients. My smoothie: I was asked how many calories it contained on social media the other day. I said, “I don’t track calories.”
I simply don’t. I refuse to. “I have too much stuff in my life to count,” she remarked. “My smoothie has a lot of calories, but this is where it differs. It is rich in nutrients. It has a tonne of healthy fats. I’m nourishing my mind. I’m giving my body food. I’m boosting my system as a whole. All it is is a brain retraining. Eat, all of you. Avoid starvation.
Burke claims that although she breaks her fasts occasionally in the morning, she does it “with intention” and makes her coffee with whole milk.
“I would not have taken that action. The me from earlier? Not a chance. With that, my body is sensing it. I’m eating pretty good and I’m satisfied. Using flavours in food, herbs, spices, and oils is an alternative method to wellbeing. Not like it was in my twenties. It tastes better, is more enjoyable, and has more flavour.
